Todd sent out an email apologizing for the poor trash service and working to resolve this issue. While I applaud his attempts to fix the situation, I made it very clear that lack of due diligence prior to choosing the contractor resulted in the current situation. Bates is well known on the Island for poor performance and customer service issues. I bit of research into the bidders would have uncovered that fact, as well as their D- rating (which I realize is not a silver bullet) with the BBB.
Todd claimed his lack of knowledge of the area, as well as one positive review in Denton was responsible. To me, that's unacceptable. It's our money as a community and I expect we should get the best quality service possible. Considering we don't have much input yet, it's left to the Developer to ensure that quality.
My guess, and I passed this on to Todd, the only reason that the Developer cares about the quality of the trash service is the poor reflection of trash cans being left out (and possibly why we only have one day of service now). Todd and the Management company may care from the perspective of maintaining their on-going oversight of the community.
Todd has asked that any further issues with trash service be brought to his attention to create a breach of contract so that we can terminate the current contract and find a more reputable provider.

This past week, the garbage company did not pick up the garbage for our whole alley. I originally thought they were just late, but noticed on Wednesday evening that the rest of the neighborhood's trash had been picked up. I sent an email to Sentry Mgmt and they immediately contacted the garbage company. The lady at the company said that there was a note in the file that the garbage wasn't put out by 6 am on Tuesday. I know that I personally put my garbage out on Monday night and isn't it odd that ten homes did not put their trash out on time??? They did come and pick it up on Thursday. Not only are they a terrible company, but liars on top of it.

I know the developer and management company have stated that the contract will be terminated as soon as possible. I'll follow up on that and see if there is anything further they can relay,
