Set aside the date for 1 October 2011!!
That is when the second annual Gibson's Grant Bar Crawl (and Casino Night) will be taking place.
This year we are going to have probably four houses with about 2 hours at each house.
Right now the Zeitlin's and Helfenbein's are hosting two of the houses. We are looking for a couple of other volunteers to pick-up the slack for the two houses.
Please let me know if you are interested in hosting a house or co-hosting (e.g. helping another host at their house).
It looks like we will have a Casino night (for charity/bragging rights) at the Zeitlin house.
More details to follow - but we definitely want to lock down a couple of additional houses (love to get some new blood to host!!).

Hey! Is this date locked in? We had plans to go out of town for the day that weekend, but I may change it to the following weekend if it will definitely be on the 1st.

I think we should stick with the 1st. A majority of the people I spoke with said it would work. I am sure I can convince Liz to change her plans:)

Pass off the kids to the inlaws, put on your game face, and lets get this party started! For those of you who may not have been here when we did this last year, it is something you don't want to miss! Each house creates a theme. For example last year we had the Island theme, DC club theme and even an Eastern Shore theme. As for this year.....who knows what to expect!!!
Two or three more houses would be good. If a few neighbors want to go in together, that works too. For example, Team Ransone-Helfenbein will strike again!
looking forward to seeing everyone!

This type of thing is right up my alley so I would LOVE to do it; however with my wedding so close to this event, I do not think I can put another item on my plate that I have to plan. But I am happy to support and help out!!!

we would love to partake in the festivities too! but if we r unable to secure the one babysitter in this development that we have heard of then the hubs and i will have to 'take turns' having fun and staying home as u all crawl!! so how does this work?? do we bring a dish or drink or some cash to pitch in for things? what about time frame throughout the evening?? and if casino night just about how much are we gonna lose that night?? let meknow b/c it sounds fun and we would love to meet some more of the community

We will have a total of 4-5 houses. The schedule and timing will be posted here when we get closer. Each house has a theme of their choice and usually provides drinks/appetizers. Last year those that did not host would just contribute food or drink at one of the stops. It is a lot of fun. And you can come and go as you please, and do not have to go to all. We will make sure to get a schedule together soon. It looks like we have 4 hosts so far. We really cant have more than 5 with timing.
The zeitlins are doing a casino theme so i cant speak directly to that, but i would not plan on losing much. It is for fun.

Heather is right - it's pretty relaxed and a come and go as you please. I think we are 'locked' with the four houses. With two hours per house...it's going to be along evening. UNLESS - we really want to do this up and have 6/7 houses. The thought being we could make this a day long event with true pop-ins/pop-outs.
Regardless - we are locked with the four houses and I'll setup a meeting for the hosts: Zeitlins, Helfenbeins, Ransones, Smiths, Mannions, Streigels to discuss the details. The Zeitlin's wouldn't mind a co-host either.

2011 Sack Attack planning is under way for our team. You might want to wear or bring a college tshirt for our stop, but not necessary. Looking forward to another fun night.

If you are planning on attnending, please post a reply here. It would be helpful for the hosts to plan how many people to expect.
If you dont get an opportunity to post feel free to come by any or all the houses. I am sure there will be plenty for all.
