I would like to host a wine tasting food pairing party for all the women in Gibson's Grant. Also ladies, you don't have to cook! I'll be taking care of that along with the wine for tasting! Everyone is welcome to bring a bottle they would like to share but it is not going to be required...bringing yourself is the only requirement. I'm happy to do this so I can get some good feedback regarding not only the community but Kent island as well. I would really appreciate getting some good insight.
Also Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to discriminate against the wonderful men in our community I simply wanted a chance to get to know people and the community better and thought a fun women event would be an interesting way to do this. After getting to know the ladies I'll make it up to the men by doing another party and maybe we'll add a beer tasting to that one .
So I wanted opinions of day that you all think many ladies would be able to come and for those with children will be able to have their great husbands around to babysit ;-). Friday evening??? Sunday evening??? I know many families have weekend Saturday plans over the summer. I would love to do it sometime this month or next month.
I look forward to feedback.

Love this idea. I agree that Saturday is busy in summer. Maybe a Friday or Sunday evening. Let men know what you decide. I can bring some wine for sure.

Thank you for feedback!!!! I'm going to make the decision to have it Friday August 12 at 6pm since so far I hear that Friday or Sundays are best. I will prepare invites and get them out this weekend. If anyone has anything else I should be aware of, let me know. I'll be in Italy July 30 to August 6 if anyone wonders why I'm not answering anything for a week. Bob will still be around! Maybe I can get a good bottle straight from Italy for all of us to taste!

Thank you all for starting to give me a head count. I have simple flier invites I created real quick (I do not have the Martha Stewert creative gene) that I'm going to go door to door delivering this evening. I know this sounds crazy but I do not want to miss any women in the neighborhood who may not do the proboards. I thought I would give everyone a heads up that I'm doing this so you are not wondering who the blonde woman is going to everyone's door :-). I do not know everyone on here and where you live so I'm going to droP one off for everyone. If you are busy no need to answer the door, I'll simply live one on porch chair or table. I know I could try to get addreses and mail them out but this is sort of old fashioned and more fun!

OK....I was able to drop off a flier or stick in door handle a flier to half the neighborhood. I got tired and hungry so I will finish either tomorrow eveing or Wednesday evening. Just a heads up for anyone wondering why they did not get an invite. The reason I am walking around doing this is so I don't miss anyone. I am happy to discover I met several women tonight that do not particpate on this site so they would not have known unlesss anyone told them. Please excuse my poor spelling and grammar like the previous post. When I try to write on here from my Iphone I realize I can't see very well.

Thank you for the offer to hand out flyers but I am almost finished! I ran out of flyers so I have to print out some more and finish them tomorrow night.....only 4 more houses to go. It is very exciting because I have been meeting some amazing women in the neighborhood.
